Massage Therapy

Our Massage Therapists are registered and 2200 hour certified. They specialize in Orthopedic Massage and Functional Movement Screening, body structure adjustment, trigger point therapy, relaxation massage and prenatal massage.

The Functional Movement Screening is a powerful tool for observing the patient’s movement pattern and identifying functional movement deficiencies such as weaknesses and imbalances in mobility and stability. By looking at the body as a whole, we identify the weak link in the movement pattern and then treat the targeted inefficiency and assign exercises to correct it. When this is accomplished, the individual will have greater movement efficiency, which will lead to improved performance and decrease in musculoskeletal injury potential. The technique is widely applied to athletes as injury prevention measure.

Massage has been proven to improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, provide relief for physical and psychological tensions, ease muscle pain and even  boost immunity.

Our massage therapists are qualified in therapeutic massage, hot stone massage, myofascial release, maternal massage therapy, deep tissue massage, cupping and much more.

Abdominal Massage

Abdominal massage offers numerous benefits for people with abdominal conditions and digestive disorders. Abdominal massage improves digestive system function, promotes peristalsis, soothes minor intestinal discomfort and alleviates constipation. It is beneficial not only for patients with eating disorders or acute gastrointestinal disorders but also for those suffering from reproductive system conditions, including unstable ovarian cysts and severe endometriosis, post- childbirth fascial syndromes and postural abnormalities. Women preparing for pregnancy and people at high risk of aortic aneurysms, and certain mental illnesses may also reap benefits from abdominal massage. Abdominal massage may accelerate weight loss and promote the growth of toddlers and teenagers. Patients with a history of abdominal surgeries are required to consult a physician prior to treatment.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine. It commonly accompanies massage. Heated glass or silicone cups are applied to the skin to create suction. Cupping Therapy is used to treat blood disorders, rheumatic diseases, varicose veins, migraines, eczema, depression, and high blood pressure among other ailments. Cupping may cause redness on the skin, discomfort and bruising; however, the skin typically recovers within ten days. Our Therapists are highly trained and will ensure that the patient experiences minimal discomfort.
